Fall Teen Combo Class: 4 Week Teen Intro to Clay: November 20th-December 18th (skip 11/27)

Ready to get creative and learn a new skill? This 4-week introductory class is designed for teens ages 11-15 who want to explore the world of pottery. We'll dive into the fundamentals of working with clay in a fun, relaxed, and supportive environment.  This class will focus on both handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques.

In handbuilding, you'll learn how to create unique and functional pieces using methods like pinching, coiling, and slab construction. You'll have the chance to make a variety of projects, such as:

• Small boxes with fitted lids
• Sculptural and decorative pieces
• Functional pieces such as bowls, cups, mugs

You'll also get an introduction to the pottery wheel, where you'll have the opportunity to try centering clay and throwing a basic form. Throughout the course, you'll learn the entire process, from shaping and trimming to glazing and firing your finished work.

Join us and turn a lump of clay into something amazing that you can proudly use or display! All skill levels are welcome, and all materials are included.

This class will run for four weeks, 2 hours and 15 mins per week.

Please note, there are no make-ups for missed classes.  

This class Includes

       All materials needed (including clay)

       Use of all community studio tools

       Use of all community glazes

What you will need to purchase/bring separately

          Please bring towels and/or apron to help keep yourself clean!

          Please note, only studio clay may be used, no outside clay is permitted.    

Refund & Cancellation Policy 

Because space and materials are reserved in advance, the following policy applies to all registrations:

• 14+ days before the start: Full refund minus a $25 non-refundable deposit
  
• 7–13 days before the start: 50% refund or full credit toward a future class
  
• Less than 7 days before camp start: No refunds or credits

Missed days due to illness, vacation, or scheduling conflicts are non-refundable.

If Bliss Pottery House must cancel for any reason, a full refund will be provided.
