COMING SOON: Try-It: 2 Hour Handbuilding Experience

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make a handbuilt mug? Well, here's your chance! In this class, you will learn the basics of making a mug from a slab of clay. Grab some friends, or find some new ones during this 2 hour experience!  You are welcome to bring snacks and BYOB, 21+.

All you need to bring is a towel (or two), everything else will be provided for you!

Ages 8+ (children ages 8-13 will need a parent/adult to join the class with them to participate).

What to Expect:

• Introduction to Handbuilding: We’ll start by showing you how to build a mug from a slab of clay. 
• Decorations: You’ll learn different techniques on how to decorate your piece, whether by stamping, carving, or adding cut-outs.  
• Finishing: The instructor will then show you how to make and attach the handle for the finished piece! 
• Glazing: You have two options:
  • 1. Choose the color glaze you would like and the instructor will glaze it for you.
  • 2. Come back during open studio glaze hours, and glaze your own creation for a small additional fee (sign up on the website)
• Take Home Your Work: Your creations will be professionally kiln-fired and ready for pickup in approximately 3-4 weeks.  
• What to bring: Please bring a towel and/or apron to help keep yourself clean, all other materials will be provided for you. You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks to enjoy together!
