8 week All Levels Sculpture Class *NEW*

In this sculpture pottery class, you’ll explore clay beyond the wheel—building forms by hand, experimenting with texture, shape, and structure, and bringing your ideas to life.

Focused on expressive, non-functional work that explores form, texture, scale, and storytelling in clay.  You’ll experiment with building, carving, altering, and assembling pieces, with more freedom to follow ideas, concepts, or abstract forms—less about utility, more about creative expression.  All are welcome—let's get our hands dirty and find your bliss!  Ages 15+

This class will run for eight weeks, 2.5 hours per week starting on March 25th and ending on May 20th. (Please note there will be no classes during the week of April 27th-May 2nd)

This class is great for beginners as well as people who have some pottery experience.  Please note, there are no make-ups for missed classes.  However, as a student, you are encouraged to come in during open studio hours (which are included in the price of the class) and practice what you have learned.

This class Includes

       Tool kit for new students

       Class shelves to keep wet work in between classes

       Use of all community studio tools

       Use of all community glazes

Extra practice time during student open studio hours (which will be posted in the studio).  This is a drop-in anytime during posted hours; currently, there is no need to sign up ahead of time.

What you will need to purchase/bring separately

          Please bring towels and/or apron to help keep yourself clean!

          Clay! You can choose out of several types of clay.  

During the first class, you will get the opportunity to try most of the clay types to help you determine which clay you would like to purchase going forward.  You are then encouraged to purchase your clay at the end of the class so you can come back during open studio hours and practice.

The purchase of clay includes all firings.  Please note, only clay purchased in the studio may be used.
