4 Week Kids Clay Creations Class! (Ages 6-10): Winter Session

With Jaime Bliss Friday afternoons: 4-5:30pm

Unleash your child's creativity in this fun and messy 4-week introduction to pottery! Designed for kids ages 6-10, this class will introduce them to the exciting world of clay through a variety of hands-on projects.

We will focus on the basics of handbuilding, teaching children how to use techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab building to create their very own masterpieces. Throughout the course, we'll make a series of exciting projects, such as:

• Pinch pots made into animals, flowers, and/or creatures
• Coiled pots made into trinket boxes, bowls and/or cups
• Slab-built boxes, houses and/or cups

Kids will learn about the entire pottery process, from shaping the clay to painting their creations with colorful glazes. This class is the perfect blend of instruction and creative freedom, allowing young artists to express themselves while developing new skills. All materials and firings are included. Come get your hands dirty and find your bliss! 

Details

This class will run for four weeks, 1.5 hours per week.  It starts on February 27th from 4-5:30pm and ends on March 20th.  This class is for kids ages 6-10.

Please note, there are no make-ups for missed classes.  

This class Includes

       All materials needed (including clay)

       Class shelves to keep wet work in between classes

       Use of all community studio tools

       Use of all community glazes

What you will need to purchase/bring separately

          Please bring towels and/or apron to help keep yourself clean!

          Please note, only studio clay may be used, no outside clay is permitted.
