I love creating. I especially love creating with clay.

From a young age, I have always been drawn to the arts and creating. It started with mud and mud pies, progressed to drawing, painting and eventually ceramics. It wasn't until high school that I had the chance to try the wheel, I was hooked! I took a few more classes in college and was generously gifted my own wheel soon after graduating. But life got busy, and it wasn't until life slowed down due to COVID that I got "back on the wheel".

So in 2020, I started making pots again in a studio basement that my wonderful husband made for me. It was truly my happy place (until I started this new studio)! Being in my studio and creating on the wheel, forces me to slow down. It forces me to put all my focus on carefully centering the clay, pulling up the clay and shaping it. If I don't, the object will become uncentered, wobble and fall apart. When I am here, I am fully present.

I'm grateful to my family for making all of this possible! From gifting me my first wheel, to finding my first kilns, to now encouraging me (and helping me to build) this new studio, I wouldn't be here without them!! I'm so blessed to have such a loving family!
